This year’s fall play, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)”, will be having three more performances this week. The performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, 23, and 24. Tickets are $7.50 online and $8 at the box office. Each performance has roughly 100 seats, so when purchasing tickets, buy them soon so you can attend the day you want.
As for last week’s performances they went “very well” according to sophomore student director Laura Kruczinski.
With all of Shakespeare’s 37 plays jam-packed into 95 minutes, there is bound to be something crazy happening, not only on stage but in the audience as well. Prospect’s theater is set up with the seating surrounding the stage, so audience participation is key in the performances.
For the show’s Staff and Friends of the Theater performance, Principal Kurt Laakso was called on stage. He was instructed to run back and forth for a part for Hamlet. At one point,  sophomore actor Walker Brewer  said, “Ready…Set…Don’t Go” and  Laakso almost tripped.
Also unique this year is the play’s intimate cast, as there are only 15 cast members in the play, including six student directors.
“The whole cast was very excited. The energy was very apparent,” Kruczinski said. “This is the nicest cast I’ve worked with and the most talented bunch I’ve seen. Normally I work on shows where there’s talented people or just nice people there’s never both usually.”
