Picking the decade's top athletes: Honorable Mentions

In time for the Prospector’s last issue of the decade, the Sports staff picked the decade’s best athletes from Prospect. The top 10 will be presented in Thursday’s print issue of the paper, along with the “near-misses”; until then, here are our honorable mentions, many of whom are extremely accomplished in their own rights.
Please comment on the bottom of this story, either with your opinions on these athletes missing the  top 10, or on the athletes you are hoping to see on our list in December’s print edition of the Prospector.

Note: Many of these athletes played other sports besides those listed, however we have listed only their primary sports.

Matthew boggess 2x finalist/state champion, Justin Milos 3rd state/Collegiate NJCAA ALL-American, Shawn Stoltz 2 time place winner. These 3 should have a rightful place on the Top 10.

Most of the guys you mentioned are going to be on the top 10/just missed list; this list is just the honorable mentions. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Here are some notables that have been missed… Ryan Craven was an XC legend, Lindsay Gibbel badminton stud, point guard, Tony Barrati great LB, Matt Davis HR record enough said, Markus Zusevics volleyball beast, plays for Iowa football, Evan Daniel/Parker O’Mara best RB’s of decade, Ben/Peter Zintak wrestling legends Matt Boggess also, Tim Scanlan/Jason Leblebijian both Bradley baseball players, Jeff Heiden all time 3 point leader, Pari Pantazopolous has his own wikipedia page enough said. Apologize for any misspellings, but there be multiple articles about these athletes if you google them.
