Emmy's Emmys: Laugh-Out-Loud Moment

By Emmy Lindfors
Managing Editor
“Two and a Half Men” broke records for its premiere of its ninth season (and also won the first Emmy’s Emmy). The show had 28.74 million views eyes glued to the screen.

Walden hosts a party with a girls beach volleyball team in hopes of brining Alan's spirits up. Their housekeeper Berta is high and leads to a pricelss laugh-out-laugh moment. "Two and a Half Men" airs at 8 on Monday nights on CBS.

In the weeks since then, “Two and a Half Men”’s ratings steadily dropped, but this couldn’t be more accurate on the viewers’ part. The episodes following the premiere proved to show a rocky start. They focused on getting Walden in Charlie’s old house house, Alan moving in and Walden and Jake finally meeting.
However, on Monday night’s episode it was like watching the premiere all over again.
First off, when the episode’s name is “A Giant Cat Holding a Churro,” you know that it is going to be good.
The episode focused on Alan being upset because he and his girlfriend, Lindsey, were in a fight about whether it is better to tell the truth or not. (No, the answer is not that obvious) Walden and Berta bond over learning to bake, but Berta mixes weed in the brownies. Walden is too much like a little kid to even know the difference. He then decides to throw a party with a Malibu girls’ beach volleyball team for Alan.
The episode clearly earns this week’s Emmy’s Emmy because of Walden’s actions throughout the episode. The best one being about how the episode got its name:
Unknown to the audience, Berta leaves the house, still very high. When she comes back, she has cat ears on, whiskers painted on her face, a glow necklace around her neck and is holding a churro. Walden gets excited and exclaims “Whoa! I just saw a giant cat holding a churro.”
The moment continues at the end of the episode when Walden informs Alan that they “got a cat!”
