By Ayse Eldes and Anthony Romanelli, copy editor and opinion editor
This week, I sat down with fellow Debate team member and Prospect opinion editor junior Anthony Romanelli for our first edition of the Debator. Our topic stems into the current Yemeni civil war and its many facets, initiated by our interest in one of our competition bills.
Each bill, submitted by students from various competing schools, requires a plethora of research to debate on the theoretical success if it were to be implemented. The bill we chose to discuss proposes that the United States government ceases weaponry supply to the Saudi Government, which is then resulting in U.S. weaponry getting involved in Yemen through the Saudi government.
