Katherine Lytle – Track & Field
Q: Where did you commit and for what sport?
A: “I committed to Pepperdine University for track & field”
Q: What led you to make this decision to play a sport in college?
A: “I don’t love running by itself. I really like hurdling. Pepperdine, coaches and the team seem to create a great atmosphere and I loved the campus when I went to visit, so I thought that it would be a good fit for me.”
Q: Why did you choose this college?
A: “Well, I didn’t think I was going to run out first, I just was going on an academic tour. Then when I qualified for nationals, when I was an all American I met at the coach while I was there in California, to save some money, and then I loved it.”
Q: What are you looking forward to about playing a sport in college next year?
A: “I’ve never had a fully healthy season in high school. So I’m just looking forward to seeing my potential and just running pain free for a full season with no injuries for the first time and see what I can do.”
Q: Who do you have to thank for helping you on this journey for your athletic career?
A: “My teammates, my family, my prospect coaches and my TNT coaches. Coach Johnson, from Prospect helped me out a lot to stay motivated when I’ve been injured, staying off. Brandon TNT helped me out a lot with the recruiting process and I was in California, and actually was with his team, so that’s kind of the reason.”
