Sofia Winterkorn – Lacrosse

Where did you commit and for what sport?

A: “I committed to Carthage College and committed for lacrosse.”

What led you to make this decision to play a sport in college?

A: “I’ve always been playing a sport so playing in college kinda made sense and it holds me accountable to stay on top of school to have a good balance.”

Why did you choose this college?

A: “They have a good coaching staff and it’s close enough to home to see my family. I loved meeting the girls, seeing their approach to lacrosse, and how committed to getting better.”

What are you looking forward to about playing a sport in college next year?

A: “I’m looking forward to making new friends and taking my game to the next level.”

Who do you have to thank for helping you on this journey for your athletic career?

A: “My highschool coach, Coach Ringo, helped me get back into my sport after COVID-19. My mom has especially pushed me academically and in sports.”
