Q: What do you love most about directing?
A: The feeling of “being in charge”, and just having some responsibility in helping with the show.
Q: How did you get into directing?
A: I have done student directing before, when I was younger. So when I saw the position on the form I thought it would be fun to try for it.
Q: What exactly do you do in this role?
A: We essentially do all of the behind the stage stuff that isn’t technical. Making sure the cast is in check, take care of merch, and food.
Q: What is your favorite memory from directing?
A: Yelling to get all of cast’s attention, for attendance or otherwise.
Q: How has prospect enhanced your artistic experience?
A: By allowing me the creative freedom I want.
Q: How has JMo helped guide you in this experience?
A: He has helped guide me throughout what we as student directors must do for the show and for the cast. Although it was both him and Isabella Smith who really helped us all.
Q: Are you hoping to do something director-related as a career some day?
A:Yes actually, but more as a director of a team of animators. Drawing and animating has always been a passion of mine.
Q: What’s the biggest challenge to being a director?
A: Trying to figure out how some things will work out, especially since there are not very many of us.
Q:What’s the biggest reward to being a director?
A: Honestly just talking and getting to know the cast and the rest of the student directors.
