Knight of the Week: Matthew Lundeen

Q: What activities are you involved in Prospect?

A: I’m involved in the Computer Science Club, the Competitive Coding Club, and I play soccer.

Q: What do you love most about the Computer Science Club?

A: It has allowed me to create projects alongside my friends, and learn new things within the world of coding.

Q: How did you find the Computer Science Club at Prospect?

A: It was created during sophomore year by Efe, a friend of mine. So, he let me into it, and I have now been leading it with him for the past two years.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of Computer Science Club?

A: We hosted a mini hack-a-thon last year. It was a small contest to see who could make the best website for the Computer Science Club.

Q: Tell me about the app development challenge that the Computer Science Club is doing.

A: It’s half of the Computer Science Club that is working on a nationwide challenge from NASA. Our main goal is to create an app that displays the mission of Artemis II, one of NASA’s recent missions to the moon.

Q: What apps have you created before?

A: Last year I created my studying app, Dendritic Learning, that one the D214 App Showcase. We’re trying to get it on Self Service this year.

Q: What is your favorite app that you’ve designed?

A: It probably would be Dendritic Learning. It started as a really fun new project to work on alongside other people, and it ended up being a product that we’re working on right now. So, I think it can go far.

Q: What do you want to do in the future?

A: I want to keep creating apps, making projects, and maybe even start my own company.
