Imagine Dragons exceed expectations

By Danielle Church

Whenever I go for a run, I have to listen to my ipod. Listening to music while running just makes working out so much better. It’s an easy way to get pumped and then burn off the energy.

The last time I went for a run, I listened to the album “Night Visions” that was released on Sept. 4 by Imagine Dragons. I know it sounds like a weird name for a band, but they are actually really good and are already climbing the charts.

The band’s song “It’s Time” has already made it to 21 and another song, “Tiptoe,” is at 42.  However, their album is currently the number one album sold on Itunes.

The reason the album is so good is because many of the Imagine Dragons’ songs are very moving. “Night Visions” consists of many songs that talk about rising up and overcoming any obstacles that may get in the way of a specific goal.

Some of the new songs on their album are also really catchy. My finger hits the repeat button over and over again whenever the songs “Fallen,” “Radioactive,” “Working Man” and “Bleeding Out” finish playing on my ipod.

I can not tell you how many times within the past couple of days I have been just sitting there in class and all of a sudden I start singing a random song off of “Night Visions.” It’s just like having “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen or “Want U Back” by Cher Lloyd stuck in your head all day.

Although, I promise they aren’t as annoying!

So, whenever you need to get pumped for a football game, volleyball game or even just a workout, check out “Night Visions.” You will not be disappointed!
