As students entered Prospect from Kensington Rd. on Oct. 9, there was a new face greeting them: a 2-story mural of a knight on the windows above door 2. According to Building and Grounds Supervisor Oscar Acevedo, a sign design company approached Associate Principal for Student Activities Greg Minter with renders and the mural became a reality. So far, the mural is up but a “Prospect High School” sign will follow. The complete project will cost around 3000 dollars, according to Minter.
Acevedo is happy with the addition and has gotten an overflow of positive comments.
“[It’s] just to kind of aesthetically cleans [our look],” Acevedo said. “[The mural with] the ‘Prospect’ lit up with LED lights all looks nice and can all be seen from Kensington… I think it looks awesome.”
