On October 1, 2022, the Prospect Marching Knights, or PMK, held their annual competition, the Knight of Champions, or KOC. The PMK hosted this day, which consisted of 13 other high school bands performing their shows for this season and competing for various awards at the end of the competition.
The PMK did not enter themselves into the competition but, instead, gave an exhibitionary performance to perform their show for the year entitled, “Masquerade,” which features the music of Sondheim, Glinka, Leoncavallo, and Parker. The PMK is directed by Chris Barnum and led by drum majors Emily Depaz, Vivian Kowalczyk, and Kelly Robinson.
This day was made possible by all of the PMK parent volunteers, who ran everything from concessions to directing traffic during this hectic event.
This weekend, the PMK will be competing in the St. Louis Bands of America competition so follow @propsectband on twitter for updates on how they perform at their upcoming competition.
