Run marathon first, then give birth
Story: The Chicago Marathon was on October 9, measuring a complete distance of 26.2 miles. Amber Miller, 27 years-old, was 38 weeks and five days pregnant. Full-term pregnancy is defined at about 40 weeks. Before running Miller had cleared it with her doctor, she finished the marathon around 3:30pm and gave birth to her daughter June nearly seven hours later. Miller did not run the full 26.2 miles, instead half-running and half-walking while keeping up with many fluids as well as eating along the way. Miller finished with a time of six hours, 25 minutes and 50 seconds.
My take: Go pregnant lady! Running a marathon is tough as it is, not everyone can run over 26 miles in a day let alone do it with a seven pound 13 ounces baby girl inside them. Props to Miller is all I have to say about this. June, Miller’s daughter, will have a heck of a great story to tell once she grows up.

Killer writes children’s book
Story: Charles Kembo was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole in June 2010 of four counts on first-degree murder. The murders occurred between 2002 and 2005. In January 2010 Publish America released, “The Trinity of Superkidds Book One: Quest for Water,” Kembo’s 372-page children’s book, written under pseudonym J. D. Bauer, can be purchased online at Amazon. According to an interview with journalist Julie Burtinshaw, Kembo said allegedly reported he prefers, “to write in semi-darkness, alone in the nude.” Kembo also allegedly told Burtinshaw his book sold 14,000 copies in the first two weeks.
My take: Creeper. Who turns from a life of murder to writing children’s books? I, for one, would not allow my children to read it. It’s not that the book sounds all that bad, it’s just the fact that it was written by someone who has previously murdered four adults and is currently sitting in prison. You can bet there isn’t going to be a book signing anytime soon. Amazon has a role to play in this too; this isn’t the first time their produce has been a topic of controversial discussion. Amazon has also sold, “Understanding Loved Boys and Boylovers,” a book critics claimed encouraged child molestation; “RapeLay,” a video game centered on a male protagonist who rapes a mother and her two daughters; and, “The Pedophile’s Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct” — an e-book that reportedly condoned pedophilia. Is that even legal? Not to mention…immoral. First of all, what kind of person writes these things and, even more importantly, who the hell buys this? Repulsive.
