Orchesis will be performing in Dance Chicago’s Dance Slam on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the North Shore Center for Performing Arts in Skokie. Dance Slam is an event where high school dance groups or youth companies from all around Chicago come together to perform different types of dance.
Orchesis rehearsed over the summer with choreographer Sarah Ford in order to come up with their contemporary dance, “Hallelujah,” which they will be performing at the festival.
To purchase tickets, call (847)-673-6300 or go to dancechicago.com and enter in this code: DC2009 to receive $5 off your tickets, making the price $14 per ticket. Tickets may be purchased at the festival, but the $5 discount will not be accepted there.
Free parking will be available, and the address is 9501 Skokie Blvd, Skokie.
