Senior golfer Christine Garmoe has been a varsity golfer since her freshman year and since freshman year she has remained undefeated in conference dual meets. Garmoe has also helped the Knights remain undefeated in MSL conference dual meets.
Q: How do you feel you have matured over the past few years as a varsity player?
A: I think I have grown as a leader just because when I was a freshman the seniors were really good to me (being the youngest). I really looked up to them and now I feel like the young girls on our team look up to me and the other two seniors.
Q: Do you feel the team gets along?
A: We definitely do. It is always fun when we are at practice or a match. We are still focused, but we give each other signs when we are playing and we are all excited about the season and how we have been playing so far.
Q: At the team’s final dual meet versus Barrington senior Allison Walsh and Garmoe had their golf balls land 15 yards from one another on their final hole. They told each other whoever got the better score would get a candy bar so what is your favorite candy bar?
A: Snickers.
Q: Where is the weirdest place you would eat a snickers bar?
A: I would say on a golf course, but that is not really that weird.
Q: What are you looking for from the rest of the season?
A: We definitely really excited for the rest of the season because it is post season. It is really exciting to see who we are competing against.
Q: What is your personal goal for the rest of the season?
A: My personal goal is to finish top ten in state.
