Women in Sports Breakfast Photo Album

  • On Feb. 5, National Women in Sports Day, Prospect held their first annual Women in Sports breakfast for all of the high school girls involved in school sports.

  • Juniors Molly Beyna and Maggie Marchialette get ready to eat the breakfast provided by Mr. Allison’s and listen to the speakers.

  • Athletic Director Scott McDermott starts the program and introduces the speakers to the athletes.

  • Jean Walker shows the athletes old photos of her and her teammates playing any sport that they could during her time in high school. Women’s sport options were limited. Walker decided to play the only two sports offered, which were tennis and golf. Over time, sports were modernized and evolved, giving women more opportunities.
