“We’re looking strong, a lot of returning swimmers,” Senior Andrew Younger said.  “We didn’t really lose anyone and [gained) lot of fresh new talent.”

The high volume of strong swimmers will allow the team team to reach new goals, the main one being to win the MSL conference championship according to Younger.
Since the majority of the team is experienced Younger says the team will plan on focusing on conference earlier this year by cutting down the teams transitional period. Normally the first two weeks back into the water involve getting back in shape for normal high school sets. Once back in shape, the workouts become progressively harder.
Senior Devin Checuga believes the key to winning conference will come through the teams dedication.
“A lot of people are swimming just for water polo or just to swim,” Checuga said. “So they don’t have much of a drive. But I think we can get over that pretty quickly.”
Checuga is confident that Prospect could win conference because of the strong varsity athletes.
Aside from the excitement of the opportunities the team has this year, the team is also looking forward to each other.
“What I’m look forward to is achieving my own goals and being with the team and having a good season,” said Younger.
