What games do you think the team played well in and what factors attributed to that success?
“Well definitely Niles West because that is a game we won. We did a good job stopping them and I think we also played well against Schaumburg. I think we deserved to win that game; we just didn’t finish defensively or offensively.”
What has the team been working on in practice recently?
“I just think our mental focus mostly. We are making a lot of mental mistakes during games that we can’t afford. We just have to focus on winning this week. We are 0-0 going into the East.”
How have you seen the team grow throughout the year?
“There are a lot of guys making really big strides, improving on things even in the offseason just small details and things that can make us a lot better and guys stepping up getting guys like me and Brennan Keane off the field so we can get a break from playing both sides.”
What is it like to have a good amount of sophomores contribute for the team?
“Like I said it is nice for us to get the sophomores involved that can play, getting them good experience to not only help us win this year, but next year and the year after that.”
What personal goals do you have for the rest of the season?
“We are just looking at the next week. We just want to be 1-0 each of the next upcoming weeks.”
What is the team’s mindset going into MSL East play?
“We just have to focus on us. We have to focus on correcting mental mistakes. We have to be locked in all week at practice Monday through Thursday so we are ready for the game on Friday.”
