  • The updated windows on the east side of the building not only solve the mechanical issues of the previous solution, but add a whole new aesthetic to the school according to Associate Principal for Student Services and Operations Kara Kendrick.

  • Administrators took feedback from teachers to decide what they could put in the new classrooms to help enhance education at Prospect. The two new whiteboards in the back of room 130 are an example of this important collaboration.

  • Room 130’s new design is similar to the over 20 classrooms renovated this summer. They include floor to ceiling windows, adjustable tables, highchairs, and low chairs.

  • The newly renovated nurses office will serve as the district standard for what a modern health services station should be for all of District 214.

  • A new mural featuring the words “EVERY KNIGHT” and “Welcome” in over 50 different languages and dialects now towers over the newly painted cafe.

  • Hundreds of retired desks are now being stored in the field house after 20 classrooms had their desks replaced with 940 new pieces of furniture. Desks are being kept for now just incase the CDC deems them a part of the safest configuration for in person learning.

  • The new windows on the east side of the building replace the old, leaky and inefficient curtain walls that preceded them.
