In a season like no other, the Girls’ Gymnastics team had a season like no other. They were able to take home the honors of MSL East champions while also finishing the season 5-0.

“Overall, my staff and I were beyond grateful we could have a season and provide a positive outlet for the athletes,” head coach Monica Donner said.

In their senior night meet against Rolling Meadows, the team scored a season best of 143.4, beating Meadows’ 134.3. They were also able to clinch the MSL East title in this meet, led by Emily Gianfrancesco who had a career-best score of 37.05.

Donner also mentioned that she doesn’t believe there is just one key member to the team and that everyone played an equal role in the success. It was a very successful season for other levels of the program as well, as the freshman team was able to finish first in the conference.

Freshman winning the conference sets up very nicely for the Knights as they look to be just as competitive next season.
