Top 5 back to school shoes

By Devin Prasad
Sports Writer
1. Jordan Super.fly II-  The Jordan Super.fly II ranks number one on my list of back to school shoes.  The shoe comes in five colorways each with a look of its own.  The shoe has a new look and offers great comfort and support.  The Super.fly II has also been featured in some very effective ads and are promoted by NBA players like Blake Griffin.  My personal favorite colorway of the shoes is the one that features a “green glow” color with a unique black design.  The shoe costs $130, but it looks to be worth every penny.
2. Nike Kobe 8-  The Nike Kobe 8 is one of my personal favorite shoes. The shoe is extremely light and offers many new features.  The Kobe 8 offers a unique design and nearly every colorway is sure to grab peoples attention.  Many of the colorways that have previously been released are now deadstock, and if you want a pair of those you might have to spend more money than you would like to.  There are four colorways out right now that cost $150, but more look to be on their way.
3. Jordan AJ V.2 Low-  The next shoe on the list is a little less flashy but still offers a good look.  The V.2 is a less popular shoe than the others on the list which makes it a little less common.  This shoe combines an older Jordan look with newer features.  The V.2 offers a unique elephant print outsole.  There are very few colorways of this shoe but prices are much cheaper and range from $70 to $90.
4. Nike Hyperdunk 2013-  The Nike Hyperdunk 2013 are a great pair of shoes for on court and to wear around.  They are a fairly new release which means there are a limited amount of colors, but they look to be headed in the right direction with some eye-catching designs.  The Hyperdunks also offer Flywire technology as well as Lunarlon cushioning to give the shoe added support and comfort.  The Hyperdunks range in price from $140 to $150.
5. Nike LeBron X Low-  With the LeBron XIs just around the corner, the LeBron X highs look to be dying off.  The LeBron X lows on the other hand seem like they have just reached their peak.  There are many colorways of the shoes out that I really like.  My favorites are the Sprites (Violet Force/Volt/Sport Turq/Pure Platinum) which combine unique colors to make the shoe stand out.  The LeBron X lows are a little pricey though at $165.
