This past week Landwehr verbally committed to play baseball at Illinois State University and was also named to the first team All American for high school baseball players by ESPN.
Q: Why Illinois State?
A: One of the biggest factors was being able to play on days that I’m not pitching. I don’t think I would be able to wait four or five days at a time to get on the field and the coach at ISU has shown he embraces players like me. Also, the baseball program is really on the rise over there and I’m excited to be a part of it.
Q:What was your reaction to being named to ESPN All American Team?
A: I was quite suprised by this actually, but I’m very thankful for this recognition and hope too keep moving forward.
Q: Favorite baseball movie?
A: The Natural
Q: Hobbies?
A: Ping Pong and Frisbee
Q: Favorite Band?
A: Zac Brown Band and Pink Floyd
