Annual fall Orchestra and Jazz concert

Kelly Schoessling

Entertainment Editor|

Prospect’s Musical department will be presenting its annual Fall Orchestra and Jazz Concert on Nov. 18, at 7 pm in the school’s cafeteria. The performances from the students will be conducted by Patrick O’Connor.

The free concert is open to anyone in the public who wishes to listen in on the various genres of performances made by students.

This concert will be featuring a variety of musical groups at PHS including: Prospect’s Symphony Orchestra, Concert Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble I, and Jazz Ensemble II.

This concert is also celebrating an official eight years between the collaboration of Prospect’s musical department and Dr. Richard Maltz.

Maltz will be in attendance for the concert in order to premiere “Romance”, which was written for and later be performed for Prospect’s Orchestra when they travel to London this December.

This concert is set to present the musical talents from the numerous Prospect Orchestras’.

“Concerts have featured diverse literature, collaborations with professional artists, student concerto and aria winners, and newly commissioned works,” according to Prospect’s Orchestra’s website.
